Biographical Information[edit]

Arim Barkat was the center fielder for the Pakistani women's national team in the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup. She batted leadoff in their opener. After striking out against Hong Kong's Debby Su-Yee Mak to open the game, she walked in the second then stole and came around to score. Her first hit was later that inning to drive in Minahil Ahmed and Najma Zafar. She wound up going 4-for-9 with 6 runs, 3 RBI, 3 walks and 8 steals without being caught in their three games, while having three putouts and one error. She was a bright spot in their loss to Indonesia that cost them a spot in the second round, getting two hits off Ni Putu Radha Ananditha Putri. She was among the round-one leaders in runs (tied for fourth with Aleena Masood, Tasmia Rubab and Ka-Shuen Wong), hits (tied for 9th), RBI (tied for 10th), walks (tied for 5th) and steals (tied Zahida Ghani for 3rd).
