Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Ariel Hernandez made his major league debut with the Cincinnati Reds a few weeks into the 2017 season. He pitched 19 times in relief that year, with no decisions and a 5.18 ERA. He had not played in the majors in 2018 when on April 17th, after having been designated for assignment by the Reds, he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in return for minor leaguers Zach Neal and Ibandel Isabel. He was assigned to the AA Tulsa Oilers. Later that season, on August 7th, he was picked up off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers, but he spent that entire season in the minors, going 5-2, 2.93 with 7 games in 42 games for 4 teams spread among the three organizations. In 2019, he was with the Texas Rangers, but pitched only 4 times with the Nashville Sounds of the Pacific Coast League, with no decisions and a 2.08 ERA.
