Argonne Forest
The Argonne Forest, or forêt d'Argonne in French, in the Lorraine and Champagne-Ardenne regions of northern France, was the site of a battle involving US troups at the end of World War I in the fall of 1918 (there was also a more important battle there in September of 1915, before the United States' entry into the war). Eddie Grant lost his life the fighting and Finners Quinlan was gravely wounded.
