Antonio Pueyo
Antonio Pueyo was an outfielder-pitcher for the Hèrcules Les Corts; the team won two Spanish titles in the 1950s. He was also on the Spanish national team for the first European Championship, in 1954. In the championship game, against Italy, he pitched a complete game (9 H, 3 BB, 6 K, 7 R) in a loss to Giulio Glorioso. He was Spain's top offensive player that day, going 2 for 4 with a walk. In the 1955 European Championship, he pitched for the Spaniards as they won their only European Championship title (through 2020).
Pueyo was also with Spain for the 1957 European Championship, 1960 European Championship (Bronze), 1964 European Championship (Bronze) and 1965 European Championship. Teammates included Andrés Pueyo and José Pueyo, his brothers. He was part of the initial class of the Spanish Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
