Antonio Detrell

Biographical Information

Antonio Detrell played for the Picadero Jockey Club Barcelona for 18 years. He helped the team win the European Cup in both 1963 and 1968. He also was on the Spanish national team that won the 1955 European Championship and he played in the 1956 European Championship, 1957 European Championship, 1958 European Championship and 1960 European Championship (Bronze). He usually played short and hit in the heart of the order for Spain. He later coached. In 2007, he was an initial inductee to the Spanish Baseball Hall of Fame.
