Biographical Information[edit]

Angel Santos played 41 games in the major leagues in 2001 and 2003. Drafted in the 4th round by the Boston Red Sox in the 1997 amateur draft, he moved up their minor league organization, hitting .270 with 15 home runs and 25 stolen bases in Single A ball in 1999. 2001 was a big year, as he hit .271 with 14 home runs and 26 stolen bases in Double A, played 4 games in Triple A, and came to the majors for 9 games.

In 2002 and 2003, he was primarily in Triple A ball, being traded in mid-2003 to the Cleveland Indians organization and coming up with the Indians for 32 games.

He is currently facing life in prison for his part in gang murders of three people in Puerto Rico.
