Biographical information[edit]

Angel Sanchez was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 11th round of the 2001 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Johnny Ramos and made his pro debut that summer that summer for the GCL Royals

Sanchez hit his first major league home run for the Houston Astros on April 11, 2011 against Ryan Dempster of the Chicago Cubs.

Sanchez became a coach in the Los Angeles Dodgers system in 2015. He started the year as the bench coach for the Great Lakes Loons. In mid-June he flipped coaching roles with Fumi Ishibashi and moved to the Ogden Raptors for the remainder of the season. Sanchez joined the Boston Red Sox system as a first base coach for the Salem Red Sox in 2018 and moved up to the Portland Sea Dogs in 2019.
