Andy Maltby
Andy Maltby caught for the British national team in a 1990 series in the US. In the 1992 B-Level European Championship, he hit .467/?/.667 with 7 runs in 4 games, homering against Switzerland, and handling 36 chances error-free. Only Frank Parker Jr. had a better average for the Brits and only Mark Vickers had more runs for them. He led the 1994 National Premier League with 39 hits for the Humberside Mets. The backstop was 2 for 11 with a double and two runs in the 1994 B-Level European Championship. He was 1 for 10 with a run in the 1996 B-Level European Championship, his hit coming in the finale against the Czech national team. Britain made it to the European Championship in 1997 and he hit .385/?/.462 with four runs in five games, getting two-hit games versus Germany and Ukraine. Only Martyn Dutton had a better average for the Brits and he tied Vickers and Alan Bloomfield for the most runs.
