Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Andrew Susac appeared in the majors during six seasons, but never could establish himself. His highest number of games played came in his second season, 2015, with the San Francisco Giants, when he appeared in 52 games, hitting .218 with 3 homers and 14 RBIs. He never reached double figures in games played in his remaining seasons. As a rookie in 2014, he was part of the Giants team that won the World Series. He played 35 games during the regular season, batting .273 with an OPS+ of 125 and appeared in three of the four postseason rounds (he did not play in the Wild Card Game) as the back-up to Buster Posey, going 0-2 in the series win over the Kansas City Royals.

His younger brother, Daniel Susac, played catcher at the University of Arizona and was the #19 overall pick in the 2022 amateur draft by the Oakland A's. Hid cousin Anthony Susac [1] also played at Arizona.
