Andrey Bolotin played for the Russian national team several times.

Bolotin was 3 for 14 with a walk and 6 strikeouts in the 2001 Baseball World Cup while fielding .846 at third base. He was 0 for 2 with a run and one error in three chances in the 2001 European Championship; Russia won their first Silver Medal in a European Championship (their best finish through 2015). He went 5 for 14 with 5 walks, a double and a hit by pitch in the 2003 European Championship but made five errors in ten tries. Had he qualified, he would have tied for 4th in OBP with Maxim Yudaev, Erik Pappas and Cory Antony Harris.

In the 2003 Baseball World Cup, the Muscovite hit .353/.353/.353 as a 3B-OF, leading Russia in average. He started in the outfield for Russia in the 2005 European Championship, producing at a .348/.423/.522 clip and taking Michael Otto deep once. He led Russia's regulars in average and OBP, was second to Alexander Toropov in slugging, tied for 2nd in hits (8, one behind Andrey Kripochin) and tied for 2nd in RBI (4, 4 behind Kripochin). He hit .211/.423/.211 in the 2007 European Championship. In the 2008 European Cup in Grosseto, he batted .316/.409/.421 and tied for second with three steals.
