Biographical Information

Alvin Cuevas has been a minor league player and a scout.

Cuevas signed with the Kansas City Royals in 1999 and hit .195 that summer for the DSL Royals. In 2000, he was 6 for 52 with a triple, 8 walks and 18 whiffs. He had more passed balls (8) than runs (5) or RBI (4). He later became a pitcher and appeared in 2003 for the AZL Mariners (1 R in 2 IP) and Boise Hawks (1-1, 4 Sv, 3.97, 15 BB, 13 H in 22 2/3 IP). In 2008, he became the Royals' Dominican Republic Operations Manager/Scouting Supervisor, a role he still held in 2013. He signed Miguel Almonte, Pedro Fernandez and Jerinson Tatis.
