Biographical Information[edit]
After his playing career ended, pitcher Allen Sothoron was a St. Louis Cardinals coach in 1927 and 1928 and a member of the St. Louis Browns coaching staff in 1932 and 1933. He served as the Browns' interim manager for eight games in 1933.
His obituary remembered him as a spitballer.
Had the nickname of "Dixie." His first name is spelled Allan in some sources.
