Biographical Information[edit]
Allan Chu was the starting shortstop and #9 hitter for the Chilean national team in their Pan American Games debut, at the 2023 Pan American Games. The 20-year-old grounded out against Mexico's Wilmer Ríos his first time up. He had Chile's first extra-base hit in a Pan Am Games when he tripled off Edwin Adón of the Dominican national team in the third inning of their third game. He then scored their first run when Manuel Zapata singled him in. He was 1-for-9 for the Games and fielded .857 as a SS/CF. Only Zapata finished with a better slugging percentage for Chile. [1]
