Algona Brownies
The Algona Brownies were a Negro League team from Algona, IA that played in 1902 and 1903. They toured the midwest and in '03 defeated the Chicago Union Giants as the western champions. Billy Holland and Chappie Johnson played on the 1903 team. The club did not return in 1904.
