Alfred Xavier
Alfred Xavier
Biographical Information[edit]
Alfred Xavier played for the Phoenix Senators in the Arizona State League in 1930. He was the first professional player to have a last name starting with the letter "X". In the 79 years since then, there have been just five more: Leovigildo Xiques (1945), Ramon Xiques (1951-1952), Charles Xiques (1954), Joseph Xavier (1985-1990), and Orlando Ximello (2008-2009). None of them made it to the Majors though Xavier and Orlando Ximello played in AAA.
