Biographical Information[edit]
Ramon Xiques was a light-hitting catcher for the Suffolk Goobers in the Virginia League in 1951. He hit .211 with a .316 slugging percentage.
In 1952, Xiques was in the farm system of the New York Giants with the Sooner State League Pauls Valley Raiders for 4 games, in which he hit .155, and then with the Appalachian League Kingsport Cherokees. In 50 games with the Cherokees, he hit just .194 with a .210 slugging percentage. He did draw walks frequently, giving him an approximate OBP of .342.
