Alfonso Noguera Solórzano (El Serpentinero)

Biographical Information[edit]
Alfonso Noguera played for the Nicaraguan national team. He helped them to a Bronze Medal in the 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games and a Silver Medal in the 1939 Amateur World Series (he was 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA in the latter event). He pitched the first perfect game in Nicaragua on March 17, 1940. He was known for his curveball. He was also with Nicaragua for the 1945 Amateur World Series.
