Biographical Information

Alexey Kobrinets has been an infielder for the Russian national team.

Kobrinets hit .368/.400/.421 with five runs in five games for Russia in the 2007 European Junior Championship. He went 3 for 19 with a run and two errors for MGPU SYOS in the 2008 European Cup. Making his debut for the Russian senior team at age 18, he struck out in both at-bats in the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers. He was better in the 2011 European Championship Qualifiers, going 4 for 12 with two walks, a steal, an error, a run and three hits. He was 1 for 7 with three whiffs in the 2012 European Championship and had one error in eight chances, sharing third base with Oleg Semenov.
