Biographical Information

Alexandr Sapronov has played for the Russian national team.

In the 2014 European Championship, he was 0 for 4 with a walk and had one error as the backup to Nikita Monakhov at catcher; his walk was against Spain's Eric González. He was Russia's main first baseman in the 2016 European Championship, going 1 for 14 with a double, walk, two runs and a RBI while fielding .952 - his only hit came against the champion Dutch national team and Orlando Yntema.
