Biographical Information[edit]

Alexander Santa played four seasons in the minors and appeared for the Dominican national team.

He hit .256 with 3 homers and 23 RBI for the 2000 DSL Yankees. [1] In 2001, the outfielder was with the GCL Yankees (.263/.356/.346, 32 R in 52 G) and Greensboro Bats (0 for 9). He was 3rd on the GCL Yankees in runs after Bronson Sardinha and Robinson Canó. In 2002, he slumped to .227/.329/.258 for the GCL Yankees, scoring 34 more runs and going 12-for-18 in steal attempts. He was second on the team in runs, behind Rudy Guillen, and one run shy of the Gulf Coast League top 10. He split 2003 between the Staten Island Yankees (.193/.256/.246 in 33 G) and Battle Creek Yankees (.252/.280/.301 in 31 G).

Santa was on the Dominican team that won Silver in the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games. [2]
