Alex Slattery has been a minor league pitcher, a scout and an agent.
Slattery was 4-1 with two saves and a 4.53 ERA for the 1996 Tyler Wildcatters, walking 42 in 55 2/3 innings. He was 8th in the Texas-Louisiana League in games pitched (33); every pitcher with more walks worked more innings. He moved to the Kalamazoo Kodiaks in 1997 and was 5-3 with a save and 3.56 ERA despite 50 walks in 73 1/3 innings. He was 4th in the Frontier League in appearances. He was 0-1 with a 9.88 ERA for the '98 Kodiaks with 9 walks in 10 1/3 IP. He finished his pro career at 9-5, 4.39 with 3 saves in 61 games (10 starts), with 101 walks in 139 1/3 IP.
Alex scouted for the Chicago White Sox from 1999-2007, signing Josh Fields, Daniel Haigwood and Lucas Harrell. He later worked as an agent.
