Biographical Information[edit]
Alex Ortiz has been an umpire.
A Los Angeles native, he was a batboy for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He began his umpiring career in the Arizona League in 2005 and moved up to the Midwest League (2007), California League (2008), Southern League (2009), Texas League (2012) and Pacific Coast League (2013). He worked the Arizona Fall League in 2015, the 2015 AAA All-Star Game and the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers.
