Biographical Information[edit]

Alejandro Segovia was a catcher and first baseman in the Tampa Bay Rays minor league system from 2008-2014, reaching AA in his final season. Overall he hit .268/.353/.434 during these years while appearing in 445 games. After leaving the Rays he played in Japan in 2015 with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles's farm team and in the independent Shikoku Island League with the Tokushima Indigo Socks in 2016 (.283/.377/.405 in 16 G) and the Frontier League in 2017 with the Evansville Otters.

Segovia returned to the Rays in 2021 as a hitting coach for the DSL Rays 1. He gained a promotion to the FCL Rays in 2022-2024 with the same responsibilities.
