Alejandro Lián (El hombre de Hierro, El Ciego)
Biographical Information[edit]
Alejandro Lián played for the Colombian national team in the 1970 Amateur World Series, 1971 Amateur World Series, 1971 Pan American Games (when they won the Bronze, their only medal in a Pan American Games through 2014) and 1975 Pan American Games. He coached for Colombia in the 1979 Pan American Games. Off the field, he spent about 20 years in the Colombian Navy and had been a boxer as well. He had nine children and expressed his primary regret as affairs and having children out of wedlock.
