Aleš Keprta has pitched in the Czech Republic and Germany. In 2003, he was 1-1 with a 4.91 ERA for Technika Brno. He pitched for the Czech national team in the 2003 European Championship, going 1-0 and fanning 8 and giving up one run in nine innings. He vanished from the Extraliga in 2004-2005 then returned in '06 with Technika Brno, getting toughed up in one playoff game. In 2007, he came to Germany's Bundesliga, signing with the Saarlouis Hornets and posted a 7-6, 3.96 record. He was 9th in the southern Bundesliga-1 in ERA, 6th in strikeouts (62), tied for 5th in wins (even with Martin Almstetter), tied for 6th in losses, 6th in innings (86 1/3) and 9th in WHIP (1.45).

In 2008, Aleš went 7-7 with a 2.84 ERA for Saarlouis. He finished 8th in ERA, 5th in strikeouts (70), tied for 4th in wins, was 4th in losses, second in innings (107 2/3) and 10th in WHIP (1.27).
