Alderson Broaddus University, known as Alderson-Broaddus College until 2013, was formed in 1932 by the union of two Baptist institutions: Alderson Academy and Broaddus College. Both Alderson and Broaddus were charter members of the WVIAC in 1924. The school ceased operations in August 2023.

Randy Dobnak was the first alumni to reach the major leagues, in 2019. Bob McLaughlin went here.
