Allan Kaplan
Al Kaplan began his umpiring career in the Lone Star League in 1977, then moved to the Northwest League in 1978. In 1979 and 1980, he worked in the California League, then in 1981 and 1982, was in the Texas League. After that, he was in the Pacific Coast League until the mid-1980s.
He returned to action as a replacement umpire in the American League during the umpires' strike in 1995.
