Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Andy Rodriguez played in the minor leagues from 1968 to 1977. He began in the St. Louis Cardinals system (1968), before moving to the San Francisco Giants chain (1969-1973), before finishing up in the Cleveland Indians system (1973-1977). He reached Triple A for the first time in 1976. Perhaps his best campaign was 1971, when he slashed .273/.324/.432 with 10 home runs and 54 RBI in 100 games for the Fresno Giants. Overall, he averaged less than 55 games played per season.

He later scouted for the Houston Astros and San Francisco Giants. With Julio Linares, he signed Fernando Abad and Andújar Cedeño.
