Adán Severino played his third minor league season in 2010.
High school[edit]
Severino hit .462 as a high school junior, winning second-team All-State honors. He fell to .411 as a senior.
College[edit]
At Broward Community College in 2006, the Floridian hit .440/.520/.655 as his team's top batter; they won the state title. The Chicago White Sox took him in the 38th round of the 2006 amateur draft but he did not sign. He hit .344 for Broward in 2007. Transferring to Miami, Severino batted .325/.433/.469.
Twins chain[edit]
The Minnesota Twins chose Adán in the 26th round of the 2008 amateur draft. He hit .243/.366/.369 for the 2008 Elizabethton Twins. He fell to .171/.258/.234 for the 2009 Beloit Snappers with only four steals in ten tries and 33 strikeouts in 111 AB. He missed several months with bone spurs in his right elbow to boot.
