Biographical Information[edit]
Adam Belicic pitched in the minors and was on the Croatian national team.
Belicic was with Croatia's national team in the summer of 1998. [1] He won 22 games at GWU, third in team annals to that point, and tied for 7th in complete games. [2] The Anaheim Angels chose him in the 33rd round of the 2000 amateur draft, one pick before future major leaguer Jon Coutlangus.
Adam was with the Cedar Rapids Kernels (1-0, 7.20 in 6 G) and Butte Copper Kings (1-2, 3 Sv, 3.25 in 17 G) that summer. He was 0-2 with a save and a 4.78 ERA for the 2001 Danville Braves. Let go by the Angels, he allowed 9 hits and 7 runs in 3 2/3 IP for the independent Yuma Bullfrogs in 2002. He was on Croatia's roster for the 2003 European Championship, apparently serving as the DH this time; he was 2 for 16 with 3 walks but damaged 4 RBI, one behind team leader Damir Karin. [3]
