600 Home Runs[edit]

Prior to the 2002 season, there was only 3 players who had hit 600 homers. On August 21, 1931, Babe Ruth became the charter member of the club. The Babe was also the first American League player to hit 600 homers. Willie Mays became the charter member of the 600 home run club for the National League on September 22, 1969.
