The 2021 Pacific League Rookie of the Year Award went to Orix Buffaloes hurler Hiroya Miyagi, who was 13-4 with a 2.51 ERA, who was second in the PL in ERA; he got 255 of 286 votes. The other vote-getters were Nippon Ham's Hiromi Itoh (21), Orix's Kotaro Kurebayashi (4), Rakuten's Takahisa Hayakawa (4) and Chiba Lotte flamethrower Roki Sasaki (2).
