2021 Central League Rookie of the Year Award

The 2021 Central League Rookie of the Year Award went to Ryoji Kuribayashi of the Hiroshima Carp, who was 0-1 with 37 saves and a 0.86 ERA, fanning 81 in 52 1/3 IP and allowing only 23 hits (though he walked 28). He had 201 of 306 votes, followed in the voting by Shugo Maki of Yokohama (76), Yakult's Yasunobu Okugawa (12) and then three Hanshin Tigers: Teruaki Sato (8), Takumu Nakano (5) and Masashi Ito (4).
