2021 Black College World Series

2021 marked the initial edition of the Black College World Series. The event served as the stage for an annual postseason invitational tournament to determine a national champion for Historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) "small school" baseball programs.

The inaugural series initially featured eight original HBCU baseball teams. The field was reduced to six because two teams did not compete due to COVID-19 protocol and administration restrictions. The final field was made up of two schools from NCAA Division II and four from NAIA. The baseball tournament was held April 28 to May 1 at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, AL. Bluefield State College defeated Xavier University of Louisiana for the title.
