2009 Asian Baseball Cup

The 2009 Asian Baseball Cup was the 8th Asian Baseball Cup and was a qualifier for the 2009 Asian Championship. Originally, it was to be held in the Philippines but this fell through and it was rescheduled for late May in Bangkok, Thailand.  Indonesia and  Pakistan each started 4-0, meeting with a spot in the Championship at stake; Indonesia won 3-2 on May 30 in a close contest.  Sri Lanka (3-2) beat  Hong Kong (2-3), 6-5, in the 3rd/4th place game. In the 5th/6th place game,  Thailand (2-2) beat Template:Country data MMR (1-3) 5-0. In the 7th/8th place game,  Cambodia (1-3) routed  Malaysia (0-4) 20-8.
