2005 American League Cy Young Award
The winner of the 2005 American League Cy Young Award was Bartolo Colón of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The award was controversial as soon as the results of the voting were announced, as third-place finisher Johan Santana finished ahead of Colon in all possible metrics except one - pitcher wins.
