1962 CCCAA Baseball Championship

The 1962 CCCAA Baseball Championship was held May 25-26 in Costa Mesa, CA. Fresno City College defeated Orange Coast College in the championship series.

* The South Section tournament was scheduled for San Diego, CA. Orange Coast and Cerritos petitioned the State JC baseball commission to play their semifinal game in the Los Angeles area to save on travel, which was granted. Orange Coast won and traveled to San Diego to play San Diego City, who beat Palomar in the other semifinal. But San Diego City never showed up, as they claimed the championship because the Orange Coast/Cerritos game was not played in San Diego. Orange Coast claimed the championship on forfeit. The Commission ruled in favor of Orange Coast.
