1978 CCCAA Baseball Championship

The 1978 California Community College Athletic Association was played at Blair Field in Long Beach, CA. A new format was introduced this year as the playoffs were scrapped. Instead each conference champion advanced to the state championship, which was a double-elimination tournament of eight teams, sometimes nine.

Los Angeles Harbor College won five straight elimination games then beat San Mateo College in the final to win the state title for the first time.
