1949 International League season

The 1949 International League season was the 64th in the league's history, and ended with the Montreal Royals winning their second straight Governors' Cup and fourth in the decade. The Royals would go on to lose the Junior World Series.
After the season, the Newark Bears were moved to Springfield, MA.
