The 1918 International League season was the 7th season under the IL name. It was a season of turnover, as Syracuse, Jersey City and Binghamton joined the loop, replacing Richmond, Providence and Montreal. Syracuse didn't last all year, moving to Hamilton in August. Also, Buffalo changed ownership. Only ten minor leagues began the 1918 season due to World War I - and the IL was the only league to survive the entire campaign. It was a close one, with Toronto beating out Binghamton for the title on the last day.
