Biographical Information

Óscar Félix has pitched in the minors and has been on the Mexican national team and was not a character on The Odd Couple.

Félix debuted as a pro with the 2008-2009 Algodoneros de Guasave, giving up three hits and one run in one inning, though he struck out two. He was 1-2 with a 10.88 ERA and 2.24 WHIP for the 2010 Vaqueros de Laguna. With the same club in '11, he was again shellacked (21 H, 16 R, 15 ER, 6 BB in 7 1/3 IP). He did not pitch in the 2012 Mexican League and was significantly improved with Laguna in 2013 (5-4, 5.04 in 36 G). That winter, he was 1-1 with a 6.52 ERA for his hometown Mayos de Navojoa. He reinforced the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in the 2014 Caribbean Series and had a 5.40 ERA in two outings. He spent the summer of 2014 with Laguna and had a 2-6, 6.43 record. Despite that, he made Mexico's team for the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games. He had the staff's highest ERA, with two runs in one inning over two games; he took the loss against the Dominican national team.

With the 2014-2015 Mayos, he posted a 6.52 ERA in 26 games, walking 17 in 19 1/3 IP. He was 6-1 with a 4.74 ERA for the 2015 Vaqueros. In the winter, the LOOGY totaled only 17 IP over 30 outings, with a 2.12 ERA. With the 2016 Leones de Yucatán, he was 2-1 with a save and a 2.96 ERA in 44 games (27 1/3 IP). The following winter, he was 1-0 with a save and a 2.16 ERA for Navojoa, with 16 2/3 IP in 36 games. He tied Ivan Salas, Fautino De Los Santos and Isaac Rodriguez for 5th in the Mexican Pacific League in pitching appearances. He then had shoulder surgery and missed the summer of 2017.

Returning to Navojoa in 2017-2018, he struggled (0-1, 4 IP, 8 H, 3 BB, 4 R in 12 G). He was back in form with the Leones that summer, with a 4.80 ERA in 30 spring outings (15 IP) and 0-1, 2.41 in 33 games in the fall (18 2/3 IP). He tied for 8th in games pitched in the spring and led in the fall, one ahead of Maikel Cleto and Fabian Williamson. For the 2018-2019 Mayos, he pitched 10 2/3 IP, spread over 30 games, with 3 unearned runs and a 0.00 ERA. He allowed one run in 1 2/3 IP in two games for Mexico in the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifier as they fell just short of qualifying for the 2019 Pan American Games.
