Biographical Information[edit]
Zan Cheng has played for the China Baseball League's Beijing Tigers. He played in the 2015 Universiade. In the 2015 Asian Championship, he was the starting shortstop for the Chinese national team, going 4 for 14 with two RBI and fielding .920. He had one of China's two hits against Japan (versus Taisuke Yamaoka) and Taiwan (against Wei-Chieh Huang); in both games, Chuang Na had China's only other hit. He finished the event third on China in hits, 5 behind Na and one behind Xiao Cui. He was second to Na in average among the regulars and tied for third in RBI, behind Cui and Na.
