Biographical Information

Yushi Uchimura was the third commissioner of Nippon Professional Baseball from 1962 to 1965.

The lefty enjoyed a distinguished pitching career for Tokyo Imperial University including celebrated wins over Waseda and Keio in 1918.

Uchimura was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
