Biographical Information

Yung-Chen Lu pitched in the CPBL.

Lu was drafted by the Wei Chuan Dragons in the 8th round of the 2020 CPBL Draft, and he was 2-11 with a 8.39 ERA in the minor league in 2021. He was 2-2 with a 4.60 ERA in the minors in 2022, then he joined the bullpen of the big club in 2023. Lu recorded a solid 1.82 ERA in 35 appearances in 2023, and he also pitched a shutout inning in the 2023 Taiwan Series. The Dragons beat the Rakuten Monkeys in 7 games, and Lu won his first Taiwan Series title.

Lu's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 91.9 mph), curveball and slider.
