Debuting for Japan in the 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup opener, 19-year-old Yukari Isozaki beat the USA, allowing only one run. She struggled against Australia in a loss but then came back to beat Australia with one run in four innings in the Gold Medal game to give Japan its second straight title. She finished the tournament at 1-1, 3.32.

In the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup, Isozaki was more dominant, winning the MVP by going 3-0 with a 0.33 ERA. She tossed a four-hit shutout against Cuba, pitched two relief innings against Australia, allowed one run in a win over the Aussies and then beat the USA in the Gold Medal game with a complete game shutout (scattering 7 hits). She led the Cup in wins, ERA (.39 over teammate Ayami Sato) and innings (21) and was second with 11 strikeouts (2 behind Lianni Rodriguez).
