Yuji Koseki (古関 裕而)
Biographical Information[edit]
Yuji Koseki was a Japanese composer. He wrote numerous film scores; on the baseball front, he made the Hanshin Tigers fight song in 1936 and wrote for the anthem for the National High School Baseball Championship in 1948. He was the lone Japanese individual elected into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in its 2023 election, in a class with Venezuelan outfielder Alex Ramirez and American infielder Randy Bass.
