Biographical Information[edit]
Yuichi Yomoda was an infielder who represented Japan in the 1991 Asian Championship and 1991 Intercontinental Cup. In the latter event, he hit .481/.600/.704 with 6 doubles, 8 walks, 9 runs and 9 RBI in 9 games while playing error-free ball at first for the Silver Medal winners. He led the event in average (.026 ahead of Jung-min Se) and tied Jenrry Roa and Roberto Bianchi for the most doubles, one more than the entire French national team. He was named the event's All-Star first baseman. He played for Saginomiya in the Industrial league after college.
