Yovany D'Amico has pitched in the USA and Italy. His brother Leonardo D'Amico has also pitched in the same countries.

D'Amico was 2-1 with a 3.32 ERA for the 2003 AZL Royals I. In 2004, he allowed only 3 runs (1 earned) in 31 2/3 IP for the AZL Royals, with 19 hits. He went 1-0 with 6 saves and a 0.28 ERA. He was somehow left off the Arizona League All-Star team.

In 2005, the Venezuelan right-hander was 2-3 with 3 saves and a 4.66 ERA in 35 games for the Burlington Bees and was rocked for 7 runs in 3 2/3 innings with the Wichita Wranglers. 2006 found D'Amico with Burlington (1-5, Sv, 4.00) and the AZL Royals (3-1, 3.96).

Yovany split 2007 between Burlington (Sv, 1.32 in 6 G) and the Wilmington Blue Rocks (5-2, Sv, 4.53 in 27 G).

In 2008, D'Amico came to Italy to pitch for Montepaschi Grosseto. He went 1-3 with a 4.18 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 39 2/3 IP. He did not make an appearance in the 2008 European Cup. In the 2009 Italian Baseball League, the right-hander went 4-1 with a save and a 2.78 ERA for Grosseto. He held opponents to a .200 batting average. He then joined the Italian national team for the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
