Biographical Information[edit]
Young-min Cho played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 5 years.
Cho played for South Korea in the 2002 Intercontinental Cup. The Hanwha Eagles drafted him in the 6th round of the 2000 KBO draft, and he decided to go to college first so he joined the team in 2004. Cho went 1-5 with a 4.05 ERA and 8 saves in 25 relief outings in his first season, then he was traded to the SK Wyverns for Won-woo Cho. His ERA was 3.44 in 27 games in 2005, then he pitched 21 games with a 3.60 ERA in 2006. After staying in the minors for a season, Cho recorded a 3.74 ERA in 38 games with a hold in 2008. He then missed the next two seasons due to military service, and he only pitched 3 more games with the big club before he announced his retirement in 2013. He then became a scout for SK.
Overall, Cho was 6-5 with a 3.76 ERA, struck out 77 and pitched 146 innings in 5 seasons in the KBO.
