Biographical Information

Outfielder Yosvani Lazo played in the Cuban National League from 1997-98 to 1999-00 for the Vegueros de Pinar del Rio and from 2002-03 to 2009-10 for the Elefantes de Cienfuegos. Perhaps his best season was 2002-03 with Cienfuegos, when he hit .341/.404/.592 with 20 home runs (tied for 4th in the league) and 60 RBI in 89 games. He eclipsed the 10-homer mark three other times.

Overall, he hit .284/.336/.433 with 71 home runs and 322 RBI in 695 games over 11 seasons. He stole only one base. He is the brother of Daniel Lazo.
